OK, OK, but you'd think I'd at least get top billing in that trio!

First, Chris gets the credit for the article on slugs, not me and NO, I am not planning on some Nefarious Molluscan Terrorist Attack. It's just that I've had a sort of fascination (if you want to call it that) for this thing, which happens to be the official mascot of the Univ. of California, Santa Cruz. Being unable to keep some of its prettier marine relatives, the nudibranchs, (see for example: http://www.divegallery.com/1strw5th.htm )I thought I'd try to find some of the terrestrial kind. Besides, I have some friends here in Wisconsin who would be totally grossed out by a couple of these.

Now a disclaimer: I have no intention of releasing any of these into the environment, even though I'm sure our climate in Wisconsin would make short work (=mush) of these after a season. And since I have the reputation of having all sorts of bizarre living things (mostly plants), I thought why not try to find a couple of these for display.

Besides, they even have their own song:

Again, if anyone can help me out with my quest, we can carry this on off-list.

P.S. You know, lots of folks joke about eating slugs, but has anyone ever tried (I'm serious, but not volunteering at this time). Who knows, with enough garlic butter.....
