RE: lavender and rosemary

It is actually my husbands railroad, but anything in my yard, needs
plants! It is G scale, which is larger than ho, and made to run
outdoors. I found finding plants that stay small (as in scale with the
towns) is much harder than normal garden plants. Seems most are not
hardy here or require way too much work and I do not have enough free
time to devote. Glad he is charge of all lawns.... I surely am not going
to cut the lawn in the railroad area with scissors! Anyways, this has
really been informative since we started this project, a whole different
way of gardening.

Claire, how woodie? I would like to make this resemble a tree. So some
woodiness would make a great tree trunk.

Elle, I have never been able to over-winter a rosemary here. Ever!
Inside or out:(

Donna
P.S. And Chris, I am staying on topic somewhat--- I need perennial
plants for my garden railroad :)
