I'm SO ready for spring - really tired of cold, wet, grey days!
A few aconites are blooming and one scilla popped open on the rare 60 degree day last week.

Daffodil foliage is up in lots of places and one miniature may bloom this next week.  I say 'may' as more snow and 20' temperatures are forecast.  I am looking forward to seeing the new daff cultivars planted late last fall.  Many were newer white varieties hybridized by Bill Pannill.

I have 4 magnolias to put in the ground that I've babied through the winter in pots outside.  Just ran out of time last fall.  Two years ago I planted a yellow variety 'Sunsation'.  I see buds of it!
I'm looking forward to the fragrance of the lilies, rubrum and 'Stargazer'.  If I can protect them from the deer!

I've been thinking to buy two trellises and half a dozen clematis.......I've contracted for a bit of help digging out some goldenrod that's taken over.  

I'm just looking forward to losing myself out in the yard.  Even digging out and spredding compost sounds like fun at this point!
