I started w the C type because they do cost a few pennies less but I found 
they weren't secure. They'd slide off too easily.
I was going to suggest the mini-labels (a little cheaper) but it sounds like 
you need bigger ones.

I've also been using them (mine were from PawPaw Everlast), but I've finally 
run out.  I'm wondering if there's a better choice for me.

I always used their 'Type C' style:

I preferred them because there weren't any sharp edges and it seemed less 
likely that they'd get caught on things, but the nameplate is a tad too small 
for me.  I'm also wondering if the stainless would be better, although that 
raises the price by $.15/label.
