Hi Sheila,
The 3 acidifying methods I know of are pine needle mulch (most forest soils
are acidic, so leaves in general),elemental sulfur, and acidifying
fertilizers. Sulfur would be the fastest, then I would follow with a more
organic approach. Here on the west coast too much acidity is the usual
problem.
