Re: Irrigation

Carol: May I recommend an excellent book? Drip Irrigation by Robert
Kourik is an excellent book that walks you through the process of
installing a drip irrigation systme. It's easy to understand and he
explains what equipment he recommends and why. It was invaluable to us
when we installed our system a few years back. It was our second go at
drip irrigation, the first time was about 12 years ago when pre-drilled
drip tubing was in its infancy. Its VASTLY improved nowadays and I
recommend it highly, over puting in individual drippers at each plant --
there are many reasons why that is not a good way to go, not the least of
which is the fact that as each plant grows, you constantly need to increase
the number of drippers or volume of drip going to each plant -- making it
very high maintenance.

         If you want to be happy for a week-end get married;
         If you want to be happy for a week, barbeque a pig;
         If you want to be happy all your life long become a gardener
