Hi Nan,
I increase the number of hours depending on need. I do not add
additional emitters. One problem is however that the emitters at times
pop out, and so once or twivce a year the pipe has to be checked. I have
used in some gardens miles of drip, and it isn't that big a deal. And in
placing the emitters at the plants that I want to get water, I reduce
the problem of weed growth and invasiveness.
But the evenly spaced preset pipe is preferrable in some situations, not
least of which is a screen, or vegetable patch. Drip was aftrerall
designed originally for that purpose.
