The problem with anemonies in my Zone 3 garden is that---most years---just
when they begin to bloom, a hard freeze finishes them off. Last fall
brought a late freeze, so they bloomed quite nicely. The plants themselves
are perfectly hardy. They came from Bluestone Perennials, and it's been so
long ago that I got them I've forgotten their name, but it's probably A.
hybrida Japonica Alba.
