Re: Japanese Anemones


If you want to grow these Anemones in zone 4, mulch them well in the fall and
plant then in moist but well drained soils. mix in a good amount of sand and
rich black dirt.

I really have been happy with my A. hupehensis 'Splendens' nice pinkish
flowers. 
Most of the Vitifolia hybrids should be hardy. A.vitifolia'robustissima' I
think has been grown even in zone 3.
