Roundup will kill anything. That's how I killed the sod before I
planted my beds. There's good directions on it. What I did was wait
until an 80 degree day and the plant is actively growing. Then cut off
the vine leaving some stump. Pour some solution on the cut side of the
stump. The plant will take it down to the roots for a complete kill.
If in a week or so it doesn't look like you got it all, do it again.
Roundup can be bought in a mix or full strength. I bought the full
strength and then mixed it about twice as strong as they said. Don't do
it on a windy day. In a week or 10 days you can plant anything in the
area without worry of carryover. Be careful not to get it on anything
you don't want killed. It is very potent.
The farmers around here use it on entire fields. Then they plant
roundup beans or roundup corn. They have been genetically bred to stand
up to roundup. It's a new practice that's becoming more and more
common.
