Question: I know a lot of people start seeds on paper towels rather
than in potting soil. I haven't done that, but wondered if it might be
a good way to stratify the seeds that need cold treatment. Maybe put
them on damp paper towels while they're refrigerated, then lift them off
the towels and put them in soil to germinate. Any opinion? >>
Yes, this will work-If you have a small dish and line it with paper and
moisten the paper (you want it damp but not soaking wet) then cover the dish
in clear plastic wrap. I start many seeds in plastic peti-dishes and this has
worked very well for me.
