For those interested, here is additional info on Adlumina fungosa:
ADLUMINA FUNGOSA vine Zone 3 Mountain Fringe
This weak stemmed biennial vine can be grown as an annual. It is native from southeast Canada to N. Car., has pinkish to pale purple flowers 3/4 in long, borne in a loose cluster, and blooms from June to Oct. It can be used in a sheltered corner of the wild garden to hide an unsightly backround, for its thin-textured 3-parted leaves (with leaflets only 1/4 in. long), clinging petioles, and gracefully drooping flower clusters give it a character all its own. Rich moist soil and semi shade are conducive to its best growth. Propagated by seed.
