I located the following information when I was "surfing". It says zone 8,
and indicates that some varieties are a little hardier than others.

I have a sheltered area that I've decided to use as sort of an "experimental
bed" where I plan to try to push the hardiness limits a little bit. I'm
thinking maybe I'll try to grow some from seed (I'm not much of a snob about
plant lineage). Would be a lot cheaper than Wayside's plants, and I
wouldn't cry as much if they don't make it. If I have luck germiating seed,
I'll probably try to keep a plant or two in pots, sort of for insurance.
That, of course, is a big IF, since my seed starting skills seem to be
rather erratic!

effect the weather had on my camelias and pansies)
