Actually, Hortus III has no guide to pronunciation and is even, I've
been told, rather outdated in terms of it's taxonomy (the Taxonomists
are busy at work even as I write this making sure that no volume is
ever completely up to date). Nonetheless, if restricted to one
single reference, it would still have to give it serious
consideration. Several years ago, the Garden Book Club offered this
for $35 (if you also signed up to buy a specified number of other
books).
