Title: Re : Ground Cover for Dry Shade
Hi Lynn, I worked a lot on the subject since I'm gardening in a woodland, and I found some nice perennials , biennals and annuals. -tolmiea menziesii 'Taffes Gold' : evergreen here, nice variegated leaves -euphorbia robbiae - vinca major hirsuta : flower much more elegant than the ordinary periwinkle and deep violet - millium effusum 'aureum' : evergreen perennial grass (I made a mistake in my last posting when I said it is annual, it's because it self-seeds readily) Surely I forgot some but they are the first ones coming in my mind. Don't expect to get lot of flowers but you'll get nice foliage effects. chantal Ermenonville, france, zone7 - ---------- De?: Lynnlamb@aol.com ¿ : perennials@mallorn.com Objet?: Ground Cover for Dry Shade Date?: Lun 8 jan 2001 20:41 Hi again, I need recommendations for a ground cover for dry shade. We built two new beds over the weekend, one of which is next to the driveway and slopes downward towards the street. It will be a hard place to water and needs to be tough. Any ideas?? Thanks, Lynn Zone 7b |
