Just received a Van Bourgondien catalog and am drooling over the hardy
geraniums. I know from previous discussions that Van B is not reliable
for perennials, but at least it has picutres of several varieties to aid
in the decision making process.
What I would like to know is what are some online sources that have good
selections of hardy geraniums. I'm not having much luck with my
searches. I know Heronswood has quite a list, but very few I have
selected (or think I would like) are on Heronswood's list. Some of their
descriptions are good, others aren't, such as no size, no mention of sun
or shade, or how long the bloom season is. Makes it a little hard to
select.
Also, are there any good books about hardy geraniums. It gets very
frustrating when I find a particular one listed in different places and
each place has different info, especially when it comes to size and
bloom time. Last fall I bought my first hardy geranium - 'Patricia' -
and I have now found it listed elsewhere and have no idea how tall it is
supposed to be. Depending on what source I look at it is anywhere from
14" to 24-36" tall. Anybody know how tall 'Patricia' is in actuality?!

Frustrated in Ohio, but enjoying the first above freezing temps in
something like 1 1/2 months - been so long I can't remember!
