Late as usual since I am back in England after being home for two weeks but
without access to the net.
I don't have any of my catalogues with me but I did want to suggest Japanese
Bishop as a good dark foliaged dahlia. It is a developement from Bishop of
Llandaff, but is a different shade of red (one of them has more orange but
my memory is going). I have generally found it to be cheaper than B of L
because it hasn't gotten the writeups that B of L has. I've seen it for $3
in catalogues that listed B of L for $5.
