Good morning, Bill and list,
I just checked Thimble Farms catalogue, and I think there were a few
Japanese hepaticas costing less than $250.00 ($135.00 comes to mind).
Still pretty expensive for the domestic gardener. These are Canadian
dollars, so there's quite an advantage if you're paying in American
dollars.
If you're planning a visit to BC, Salt Spring Island (the largest
Canadian Gulf Island, and home of Thimble Farms) is worth a visit. (I
have no commercial interest - just remembering a great visit!) Thimble
Farms is in a beautiful woodland setting. There are some other
nurseries on SSI, also.
