Attracting beetles

We have used the milky spore in our county and do not have as many of
the Japanese beetles as we used to but even a few will eat buds. The
lespedeza blooms over several months and I like the fountain shape so
the fact that a few beetles eat some flowers is not too bad. I do like
to drown them but---then maybe I do need more excitement in my life.
The elderberry does not do well for me here in Tennessee. It is not any
bigger after 4 years and not very attractive in its present state. Time
for something else to brighten that corner.
