NC Botanical Gardens

There is also the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden in Belmont NC, which is near
Charlotte and the SC border. If you are in this area you must visit the
Stowe Garden. I was there yesterday and it is so beautiful, even in winter.
There are tiny crocus blooming and the winterberry hollies are glorious!
There will be so much more to see in April.

Well, in North Carolina there are several grand public gardens in the
Raleigh-Durham area, not to mention some great nurseries like Plant
Delights and Niche Gardens (but you need to either hit one of their
open days or make special arrangements to see the botanical garden at
Plant Delights - well worth any effort to do, IMO).

Archives are easy to get to...http://www.hort.net will have a link in
the left nav bar to email lists and that is where this list archives
are as well as several others.
