Heck, I can remember coming home from a trip to Colorado in 1967 and when we were traveling through Nebraska, they were having a gas war and the price was $.19 cents a gallon!!!

I remember a close neighbor who would drive 10 miles out of her way to buy gasoline at $.24 cents a gallon instead of the $.26 at the corner station. This was when cars had no seatbelts and the bench seats in the back seemed a mile long!
