You daffodil guys would know this. There is some kind of very old daffodil
that is white and delicate with very persistent grassy foliage. I have lots
of it around here and it is very fragrant. I doubt that you would choose it
from a catalog as it is not as showy as newer sorts but it needs little care
being found on old farms in our area. This daffodil is near to the end of
the bloom season and also is found in a double form. I suppose it would have
been passed around as country people did in past years. Our property has
many of this type of widely shared plant. Driving around the area you see
the same plant on other old properties, a nice practice not happening so much
today.
