I bought 14 gallons of gas yesterday for $18.45...that's a 300% price
increase with no service. Mercy! I'm ready for one of those hybrid cars
that get fantastic mileage.

just recently there was a discussion about gas and prices and service,
well I'd like to share this with all of you.
just a couple of days ago my husband and I were doing some cleaning out
and throwing away old things and came across some old papers, included
in this junk were some old receipts of gasoline bought. these were dated
1972 (goes to show you what packrats we are) one of them shows 16 6/10
gal. of gasoline cost us $5.95. Now that figures about $.37 a gal.
If memory serves me right, you could get your gas pumped by a young
man, you windsheilds washed, your oil checked, and the air in your tires
checked if you so desired, and all of this with a smile.
THINGS HAVE SURELY CHANGED "those were the good ole days"
