Healthy leafy plant, Don, but what is better - a blooming plant in the North
in January.

I don't grow this but I have seen it a few times. It is sold by the common
name of Goldfinger. I mention this as some of you may live where plants
apart from Walmart's selections are sold or may be going to one of the shows
in the next months so may see Goldfinger. Listed in my Rix/Phillips
Conservatory as a shrub. Please go on. Does it always bloom in January. If
so, I will put it on my list. Any plant that will bloom in January in
Wisconsin is a winner.

What is that huge bud behind it in the photo? Is it a bud? I am interested
in anything that will look good in January and your plant looks vigorous to
me. Under propagation, seed is not listed, stem cuttings are. Also
difficult says my prop guide, needs some help with a rooting hormone.
