Don,Up here in Wisconsin, they look their best in June. After that, I find that I can be quite ruthless in trimming them back - more than simply deadheading. Otherwise, they become too scraggly.> Marya, I have it in my garden. I make sure it is deadheaded as itreseeds prolifically.> Ceres, Iowa, zone 4/5
Has anyone seen them in colors other than blue? I know there is a Centaurea dealbata that is pinkish, but the time I tried it, it sprawled too much for me.
I may have missed other replies, but how about yellow hard head - don't have the Latin handy, but tall and yellow with great seed pods!
