I have this (thanks Monica!) - It is a fun plant, my son always got a kick out of the flower. I originally got it as "yellow hardhead" someplace back in the early days and lost it after about 6 years.Oh, you mean Centaurea macrocephala, Globe Centaurea (I couldn't think if the name either). I used to grow it and, in fact still have some of the seed heads in a dried arrangement with some Dictamnus albus seed heads.Has anyone seen them in colors other than blue? I know there is a Centaurea dealbata that is pinkish, but the time I tried it, it sprawled too much for me.Don,
I may have missed other replies, but how about yellow hard head - don't have the Latin handy, but tall and yellow with great seed pods!

The arrangement won't win any design awards, but it has it's place.
