Re: thoughts on these plants anyone?

Donna,
In a list from another gardening site, an experienced Arisaema grower
indicated to me that A. fargesii and candidissimum were relatively late to
come up, and A. sikkokianum as early. If, like me, you live in an area with
uneven spring weather, subject to unexpected frosts and freezes, you will
not want the ones that show early. A friend here lost A. sikkokianum her
first year with it because it was up in mid April--too soon here.

I too am considering indigofera kirilowii.

My favorite epimedium is E. grandiflorum "Pierre's Purple' and expect a new
one purchased last season--E. grandiflorum 'Dark Beauty'--to be just as
gorgeous. E. rubrum makes a magnificent spring show, but the foliage for me
gets a little ratty by the end of the summer. I grow several others, but
can't remember what they are. They are great plants (highly deer resistant,
as well), and you might as well get them from the best--Darrell Probst.
Email him at darrellpro@earthlink.net and request his catalog. Eat your
heart out for the $75 ones!!!
