RE: thoughts on these plants anyone?

Yep, you are right, I have the unexpected frosts and freezes in the
spring. A few hail storms as well in the last few years.

I am trying my hand at a few different plants this year. I have two beds
ready to go here, one in the sun and other in the shade. If someone has
some other plant idea, I am all ears, or is that eyes.... I would like
both of them to have a variety of bloom times to keep them attractive
throughout the season... (Is that every gardeners wish?) Please keep in
mind that I am in Illinois, Zone 5, and don't like to bring plants in
for the winter.
