Thanks I can do that safely there.  I will also put some compost to feed the bulbs too.  They were on top of ground when I looked this past summer.  That was when the air temperature was 105.  Hate to throw all of them away but I do dig and throw the daffodils away when I see stripes in that foliage.  Oh my it is hard to keep every thing healthy.

It looks thrips damage to me. use insecticide with surfctant. 3 time 10-14 days interval.
