Tried again to order anemones, and some wildflowers that should be on my hillside but are not. Nothing is coming up on site now. When I click on numbers now it is not putting anything down. I looked up my seed order for NARGS 2016 because I was wondering why I had Goldfinch hellebore seedlings up so fast. I potted up 12 yesterday and only one was just germinating. So my entry was wet packed seeds…that makes sense since the seeds did not have to go through 2 dormancies. Yellow is so exciting to me and I can’t wait to see what color my hellebore flowers will be. Yes, I know at least 3 to 4 years but they are growing. m*@odysseyperennials.com Also, Russell is a member of this perennials list – maybe he’ll see your post, though I bet he’s pretty busy at the moment. So…what did you order??? Kitty From: o*@hort.net [o*@hort.net] On Behalf Of Nancy Robinson You made me try to order other plants I crave but could not get the order to go through. Probably not doing it right but other sites work for me...too well, some times. Nancy ----------------------------------------- From: "Kitty Morrissy" <1*@rewrite.hort.net> Nancy, thanks for the site. Makes me glad I ordered 3 of them. Kitty From: o*@hort.net [o*@hort.net] On Behalf Of Nancy Robinson Pacific Bulb group says hardy to Zone 5. Read what they say. I think we should always try a plant once. So I kill a plant...nothing new about that but look at what does live here in Tennessee. nancy ----------------------------------------- From: "Kitty Morrissy" <1*@rewrite.hort.net> Hi all, I was looking over the spring 2017 Odyssey Perennials catalogue and came across this item: St Bernard's Lily, Anthericum ramosum It looks very much like something I saw on some backroads in Ireland this past summer. I had never heard of the genus before and when I checked the picture, it took me back to one of the more enjoyable parts of my trip. It’s probably not the same plant, but I just had to order it. My old Hortus Third says it’s native to western & southern Europe – not a big hop to Ireland, eh? So – does anyone on this list grow it or know it? Anything to tell me about it? Kitty |
