The Walmart here found people who were taking plants from their dumpster at
night (it wasn't me, although it could have been), so they now tear the
plants from their containers and crush them before they dump them in the
container. I will have to give them credit for one year though. They gave
about 5,000 bulbs to the local garden club in January (they thought it was
too late to plant them) and they came up beautifully around town in the
beds they put them in. For the most part though, they are terrible with
plants and I don't buy from them anymore unless to rescue some poor plant
that is half dead. JC
