Greetings to the list from chilly Montana. I have been a subscriber for a
couple of months, but this is my first post.
First, an Oriental poppy comment. I wasn't wild about them until I tried
the salmon-colored variety called, I believe, Helen Elizabeth (obtained
from White Flower Farm). Now I have two large clumps (one next to iris
Beverly Sills) that are lovely, and the flowers seem to last quite a while.
What I'd like to hear about from all of you is your happy
combinations....those plant groupings that, whether planned or accidental,
are just so perfect that they fill you with joy. Most of mine seem to
happen more-or-less by accident, like pink tulips beside newly-emerged
peony foliage.
