beginner

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this perennial e-mail and I have learned a lot already.

I have moved into a new house that has a few flower beds with hardly any
things growing.  It is more or less a clean slate and I don't really
know where to start.  I love gardening but I don't really know what I am
doing with perennials.  My main flower bed faces the east and gets some
south sun, I am in USDA 4, any suggestions that are good perennials to
start with?
