A suggestion for "rock envy." Have you ever seen hypertuffa? It's looks
like rock, but you make it from concrete, sand, and the native soil in your
yard. It's much lighter than rock, and you can make any shape you'd like,
depending upon the kind of form you create, from a hole in the ground to
formal geometric shapes you form with styrofoam. I've been dying to try to
make some hypertuffa planters, they're typically used to create rock
gardens where none exist. I've never looked for directions on the web, but
I'm sure you could find some if you try. Otherwise, I have a book on
stonescaping that is not very useful, but does have directions. I could
dig it out (so to speak!) if you'd like.

So goes an old chinese proverb:
If you want to be happy for a few hours, get drunk;
If you want to be happy for a week-end get married;
If you want to be happy for a week, barbeque a pig;
If you want to be happy all your life long become a gardener
