It may be true that heating pads are not meant to be left on for days at a
time but all of these devices we are speaking about, waterbed heaters,
official seed warmers and heating pads are all very simple devices. All are
very similar in their construction. As for water, waterbed heaters aren't
designed to be wet, either. Heating pads are enclosed in plastic and are
recommended for use with wet towels. And yes, my fire insurance is paid up!
