Hi Jerry, a couple of years ago, I purchased a used water bed heater. It works great. Paid $3.00 for it. I put an ad in our local paper's MISCELLANEOUS WANTED column (free ad) and had LOTS of responses. The unit had a thermostat and was very well protected from moisture. I have seen them at various Thrift Shops also for less than $10.00

Hi all,I am in need of a new soil warmer to use in sowing of seeds and rooting of cuttings. It has been years since I last purchased one. What devises are being used out there and how do you like them. I have searched my catalogues and found soil heating cables, electric Mylar sheets to propagation mats. The prices range from $16 to $100+. Thanks,JerryW. MAZone 5
