I like Pinetree Gardens, too. Their seed packets usually have about 30
seeds in each and run roughly $.50 to $1.00 or so. The live plants they
sell are pretty good, too. I've ordered a variety of summer bulbs from
them and were pleased with them. I got my catalog free by mailing in a
request that was in the back of one of the early spring gardening mags I
got in my local grocery.
I agree; there's no need for me to get a package of 100 seeds. Even though
I start my seeds indoors, I'm never going to need more than 10 at one time.
I just don't have the room to start flats of more than that.
However, if you're going for a newer variety that you've heard of , I would
go with Shepherd's Seeds. They will usually carry it with very high
quality.
