Knautia macedonica -Reply

I have this plant and really enjoy it. It does reseed a
little (maybe 1 a year) which is no problem to move
or share with friends. It is a beautiful burgandy
pincushion type flower. I do surround it with wire
fencing as it has a tendency to flop.

For mine is just a little old-fashioned garden where
the flowers come together to praise the Lord and
teach all who look upon them to do likewise.

Do any of you have knautia macedonica? This
plant has intrigued me for a
couple of years now, because of the photo in the
Thompson & Morgan
catalogue. Is there any chance that it would bloom
the first year from
seed? Is it weedy? (something about the botanical
name makes me suspicious)
Am really curious about this, because I grow datura
that are not hardy but
seed themselves with abandon in the strangest
places.
