Re: Popagation mat -Reply

Okay, just the man I want to talk to! I will be
switching after 20+ years to a regular bed and
saving my water bed heaters for this purpose.
"How" do you use your's. What do you put between
the pot or flat and the heater? Thanks for any help.

Hi Jerry, a couple of years ago, I purchased a used
water bed heater. It
works great. Paid $3.00 for it. I put an ad in our
local paper's
MISCELLANEOUS WANTED column (free ad)
and had LOTS of responses. The
unit had a thermostat and was very well protected
from moisture. I have
seen them at various Thrift Shops also for less than
$10.00

Hi all,I am in need of a new soil warmer to use in
sowing of seeds and
rooting of cuttings. It has been years since I last
purchased one.
What devises are being used out there and how do
you like them. I have
searched my catalogues and found soil heating
cables, electric Mylar
sheets to propagation mats. The prices range from
$16 to $100+.
Thanks,JerryW. MAZone 5
