Following the bird's foot violet discussion, I'm currently
in love with the viola labradorica -- deep purply green leaves,
lavender purple flowers, and it is starting to self-seed nicely along a
shade brick walk -- I noticed three new good size clumps (about 6X6)
last Fall. It's a nice little low accent or small ground cover,
especially with pinks, yellows, or grey next to it. I'm a
purple-foliage fan -- any others out there? Have you seen the new deep
purple taro Wayside is offering? I think the Glasshouse Works has it at
a lower price.
