Sue, Ed Hume has said on his TV gardening show several times that the Tulip
growers of Washington state cut the foliage in the fields 3 weeks after the
Tulips bloom. Since thats what they do for a living, I figure they are on
to something. I have treated my Tulips the same way with no deleterious
effect. I don't remember hearing the same info about Daffs though. Does
anyone know what the American Daffodil Society recommends?
