As I'm sure is the case with all of you, I have been receiving many
catalogues from mail order nurseries;
I've been looking for an oak leaf hydrangea, and found one in Park's for
$13.95 and one in Wayside Gardens for $34.95;
now naturally I'd like to get the lower priced one, but am afraid there will
be a corresponding difference in quality;
does anyone know why there should be such a big difference in price, and
does anyone know whether Parks is good enough?
A few years ago I bought the Fairy rose, the generic one, not the name
brand, from one of the cheaper catalogues; the plants were just fine and
have lasted for years with very little attention;
the price I paid was a fraction of what the name suppliers ask.
