Chris, thanks for the tip on where to buy the wood sorrel by mail --
I'll check into this.
I was interested in your comments about Planter's Palette. I make it
out there once a year, usually in late June, and my complaint is that
they're always out of the specific plants I want. However, the ones
I did buy there always did well -- my daughter stocked up on a bunch
there two years ago for some new beds and they looked terrific last
summer. I used to use them as a local source for great hostas and
ferns,
but now use less expensive sources -- you're right, they are very
pricey. But most of our local nurseries are, alas. Mail order is the
way to go for savings.
Impulse buying? Who, me? :-) (As though catalog buyers are immune...)
