Hello again, Anne,
I grow the Aster lateriflorus Prince. Also Lady in Black. I have them in a
open, but shaded position. Aster lateriflorus. or the Calico Aster, grow
normally around the edge of the wood around here. They can be a bit
aggressive in good soil so keep an eye on them. Seed heads really should be
cut and not allowed to drift around.
No species are in my garden since I have plenty along the edge of my woods
to enjoy.
