I don't think there's any doubt that a weed-free lawn looks pretty, but I
have accepted the trade-off of having an imperfect lawn. I can tolerate a
few weeds as long as I can avoid having to use herbicides or chemical weed
killers. Their impact on the rest of the plant and animal life is not worth
it, IMHO.

Yes! We have lots of mason bees, and also are lucky to have honey bees-- we
have a neighbor half a mile away who has several hives.
