Maybe we aren't so far off topic discussing woody plants. After all, they
provide architecture and background for our perennial gardens. And for many
perennial lovers, our woody plants give us a way (besides catalogs) to make it
throught he long, hard winter.
Neal, your selections for winter interest are excellent. And I love the
whimsy of the beach posters. I would love to see your backyard! But I have a
question. Don't you get birch borers in N.B.? If we stapled anything to a
birch tree here we would be making entry holes for deadly borers.
