Dormant and evergreen hemerocallis

I'm no hemerocallis expert, but your comment on dormant vs evergreen 
cultivars for the north brought up an observation on my part.  When I 
first started buying hemerocallis cultivars, I was worried about the 
"evergreen" types.  However, I've found virtually no difference in 
their performance for me here in Zone 5 (to -25F).  I've noticed a 
tendency to be a bit slower to enter dormancy in the fall or 
eagerness to begin growth in the spring (some nipped leaves if we 
have a late frost), but otherwise, I find them virtually 
indistinguishable.
