Barbara,
I'm in Washington State, USDA zone 7/8. The Lysimachia is planted in
heavy clay, actually the compressed sub-soil left after construction,
amended with composted bark mulch. It gets about 1/2 day sun. It's wet
in winter and gets supplemental water in the summer. I have not had a
problem with this one being invasive. The chelone and siberian iris
spread much faster! I haven't discovered any seedlings, either.
