Ah, Marilyn, that's the way to financial success. All the Internet start-up
companies are making it that way--start a small business, have some success,
get known, and sell for big bucks. I hope Heronswood got a good price and
that they get what they want out of the relationship. There does come a time
in a business's life cycle when getting bigger is the only option. Sounds
like that happened for Heronswood.
I had the chance to visit Heronswood in the spring and Dan was out of town.
But oh what a visit it was! I now want to visit again in the other seasons.
Plants to die for. If the new investment can increase the land and labor to
keep that kind of operation going, then I'm all for it. there's only so much
one or two proprietors can handle.
