Dean,
    Thanks for the information--I've always been curious about the
seasons and rituals. And since I don't *have* to cut back the plants, I
probably won't -- too many other garden tasks! I'm behind on weeding, of
course, but I didn't expect those little weeds to grow so big, so fast.
